True Blue ‘Drew Cannon’ Takes Out 2017 Young Driver of the Year Accolade

drew cannonThe LBRCA Young Driver of the Year Award recognises outstanding young drivers that demonstrate a best-practice approach to driving and safety.   The Award, in its third year, highlights that our industry has young talent that are dedicated to best-practice in all aspects of driving and safety.

On Friday 31st March 2017, The Dubbo Showgrounds were host to the announcement of the 2017 LBRCA Young Driver of the Year Winner.

Drew Cannon from Stockmaster Tamworth was the awarded the coveted award by SafeWork NSW Director of Compliance, Tony Williams.  A worthy recipient and humble winner, Drew will head off to the USA on an international study tour to help raise awareness of best practice approaches to livestock transport which it is hoped will translate into less injuries and incidents across the industry.

Entries for the 2017 closed in December 2016 with the judging panel selecting 5 finalists including:
